Travel Alert - Strike Information

French Nationwide General Strike from 5 December 2019

We regret to inform you that, due to a French national strike, SNCF traffic train services may suffer cancellations from 5 December 2019, possibly for a few days.

How will I know if my train is affected?

Customers are encouraged to check their travel details during this period. A list of TGVs running throughout the strike period that are affected will be available the day before the strike days at 17.00 hrs CET (5pm) on SNCF’s website, where you will need to insert the Train Number to see if your service has been affected.
We shall also keep you updated as best we can during this time based on information as we receive it.

What do I do to book or exchange tickets?

  • If you want book train tickets on the day impacted by the strike, you will see an error message stating that services have been affected.
  • If you have already booked and are in France, we suggest you exchange your train tickets by going directly to an SNCF train station.
  • You can also request an exchange from our website via the section “Contact Us” or “Chat”. You will need to provide new travel dates. Our team will only be able to offer an exchange from Monday 9 December 2019 onwards.
  • If you have already booked with us, you will receive an email from our Customer Support team informing you that your train is affected by the strike.

How could I get refund?

If you are not able to travel or choose not to travel, you can refund tickets free of charge on www.refundmyeticket.com. Refunds must be applied for by 11 December 2019.
